Getting Started
It takes only a few minutes to get Joomla running. Follow these simple steps:
- Make sure you have virtualization software installed first. The free VMware Player works well if you're using a PC and VirtualBox is an Open Source option that runs great on an Intel Mac.
- If you're using VMware or Parallels Click here to download the Jumpbox for Joomla. (189mb), if you're running VirtualBox Click here to download the OVF file. (204mb). And while your're waiting for the download to finish it's a good idea to start the brief tutorial video below so you'll know what to do when it completes.
- If using VMware Player or Parallels as your virtualization, simply extract the ZIP file for the JumpBox and double-click the .vmx or .pvs files respectively. Otherwise, watch the video below for how to load the OVF file into VirtualBox.
